Understanding Comics completely defined what a comic is. First off, comics include, but are not limited to commercial uses, such as superheroes and Frank Miller graphic novels. McCloud even brought up some interesting points such as how a blob with a circle on it reminds one of a face. I especially liked the line "we humans are a self-centered race" - literally!
