I'm sure that there are many examples of remixing ideas in the world. It seems that most plots in books and movies are not new, and have simply been remixed with different characters. However, the example that sticks out in my mind is jazz music. As a jazz musician myself, I know firsthand that while a lot of jazz music sounds new and fresh, a good amount of it has simply been sampled and remixed from previous artists. As a jazz musician, you listen to the jazz greats to get ideas for riffs that you can use in your own solos. One of the most widely used songs that gets remixed and reused is the song "I've Got Rhythm". This song has been redone and recorded by countless musicians and is also a staple at jazz auditions.
