I chose this license because while I generally proud of the work I do and would like the masses to read, analyze, and even possible change my work, its very important to me that I do get some credit for the origin of whatever "remixed" version becomes the popular one.

Inventions spawn inventions which in turn spawn other inventions.  This has been the principle building block for our culture and county since the Industrial Revolution, possibly even since the invention of the printing press.  Every invention was significant in its own right and was a critical step to the even more fantastic inventions of the future.  I find that is true in the world of literary works as well.  As such, I believe that it should be recognized that  while ones work is a great achievement, it is very likely that even greater achievements will come to pass with the aide of ones work.

However, it is important that certain credit be given to the author / inventor / creator for their (mine in this case) creation, if for nothing else then it is not right to impede someones personnel ambition, whatever it might be.  If Thomas Edison had never been credited with electricity and the lightbulb he never would have had the credentials to gain the support needed to further his own future endevors.

In conclusion, I would and have found it a compliment for someone to find a work I did so compelling as to want to expound on it.  The only thing I ask is to either be quoted, or to just annotate in small letters at the bottom of their page that this work is derived from Ian Evans' original work which can be found at ...  However, if someone finds a problem with these requests, contact me and I am sure we can come to a mutually beneficial agreement.

I just finished processing some paperwork for the fall semester.  Not to sound like a dork, but I can't wait for fall semester to arrive.  The sooner the next fall and spring come and go the sooner I will be done with college all together.  I know a lot of people that absolutely dread the thought of graduating.  Maybe because they view having a career as this big scary thing.  For instance, my best friend who is an extremely smart and hard working guy hates the thought of leaving college.  He graduated from FSU three years ago with a bachelors in Marketing.  The thought of having to go out into "the real world" terrified (he might contest that) him into the point of staying in college.  He considered getting his Masters, but opted to pursue a bachelors of Engineering instead.  When I inquired why he replied that the problem with a Masters degree is it is only two years of school!!

To each his own I guess.

Wow did this weekend go by fast!  I had a good weekend in the sense that it was really productive.  I spent most of the weekend moving into a new house.  I got a lot of it accomplished but am still not completely relocated yet.  Actually I am writing this from what used to me my living room.  I got all of the furniture moved out except for a mattress in my bedroom, one of my TVs which I left behind which I put on the floor next to the mattress, and my computer which is now resting on the floor in the living room vice on the desk it was yesterday.  I started moving Saturday morning at about 7:00 AM.  My buddies (or "the cavalry" which I called them at the time) showed up at around 09:30 to give me a hand with the heavy furniture.  At around noon I declaired that it was quitting time ("beer thirty")  To show my appreciation I took them all up to the Red Bull thing in Tampa were I bumped into Emilyyy..  I think a good time was had by all.  Any ideas of what I did when I got home from all of that excitement?  Continued to put stuff in boxes.  I will say though that I really really really can't wait to be done moving.  Kind of odd for a guy that has moved around an awful lot in the past five years.  I guess just because you have done something a lot doesn't  mean that you have to like it.
