During my time at USF, I want to go into business. I have taken business classes all through high school, so I am definitely sure that this is the major I want to get into. For that reason I chose to research Business Sustainability as my combined keyword search. A business can be sustainable if it has adapted to the use of renewable resources such as energy, water, paper, ect. At the same time, a sustainable business must operate in a socially responsible workplace while still protecting the environment. Surprisingly there are many renewable resources found in the business place, especially paper. I never really though about how environmentally-friendly you can transform your business to be. This is very useful information for me and others in hopes of one day creating a business of my own. All different types of companies have recognize that being a greener business can create new forms of business value. The Business Leaders Initiative on Human Rights (BLIHR) is a three-year prgram to help lead and develop the corporate response to human rights. They beleive in an evidence-based approach on the application and testing of human rights across a number of business sectors and geographic locations.
