Knowledge of Conventions
I chose my Unit 1 Assignment as an example of Knowledge of Conventions because I feel that I have a strong knowledge of how to use language correctly and effectively to formulate a solid and cohesive paper. I used a format I've never written in before: Narrative Definition; I think it turned out very well. I also put together a complete a thorough bibliography to document my work.
Process
I think almost everyone should choose their Unit 2 assignment as an example of Process. This assignment required a lot of drafting, editing, remixing and other such techniques in order to fuse everyone's different ideas and previous papers into one complete idea that we could convey.
Rhetorical Knowledge
To represent an example of Rhetorical Knowledge I chose our very first assignment, my Who remix. It is a good example of having a specific purpose and audience (to introduce a class of strangers to who I am and where I come from). I was also constrained to the specific format of the song, which also carried with it a particular tone that I felt I needed to continue.
Critical Thinking, Reading, and Writing
The Nietzsche Quote really caused me to think, read, and write critically. I had to think about what the quote mean to me and how I could interpret it to make sense. I was also able to use my interpretation in future work, such as my Sustainability Keyword Search.
